Hooray! It’s the new year 2007!! A brand new start for the new year!

The year 2006 has gone by so quickly. First 6 months & 1 wk working at PWC. Followed by intense golf practice to pass the Beginners test in July. And then Tibet holiday with my dad and immediately followed by Hall camp and the start of university life.

It took me quite a while to adapt to university life. The 2hr lecture and tutorial system, the fast pace of teaching, the dreadful many projects and presentations, etc. I admit I did not really study hard last semester. And I have been really lucky to be able to pass all my subjects, especially OB (the dreaded one). But I shall work hard from next semester onwards.

And so, here goes my New Year Resolutions (in order of importance) :

1. Study hard consistently (especially during weekdays since my weekends are gone to training). Have better time management. No more last minute work, it gave my lots of panicking last semester. Aim for 2nd specialization in Banking & Finance. (would have preferred economics but its not worth an extra semester)

2. Train hard for Dragonboat. Aim to always twist paddle, recover faster, not to splash water, scoop water, pull harder, row longer strokes, be able to lift 10kg weights during training without support, etc.

3. Practise hard and seriously for golf. I must get my PC by July and hopefully get my handicap by December. Am getting old already, will be 20 years old next year and when I hit 21 years old in July 2008, I will not be able to play golf at sicc anymore. Time is really running out.

4. Aim to run the 21km Standard Chartered Half Marathon non-stop and within 2.5 hrs. Should be possible since I managed to run the 10km Standard Chartered in 1 hr 7 mins (net timing) this year. Could have been under 1hr if I had pushed a bit more. grr...such a waste.

5. Blog everyday.

That’s about all for my new year resolutions. I am about to fall asleep any moment. Shagged out today. Woke up at 6.45am but got out of bed only at 7.10am. Rushed to get to kallang on time for training. At least I was not too late, didn’t have to run from Kallang MRT to SDBA. Today we played captains ball but using the volleyball style to pass the ball.

After training, went golfing with my dad at Millenia Course. Golfing after training is a bad bad idea. Somemore my dad only brought 1 trolley. grrrrr. And guess who got to use it, of course it was my dad. And I had to carry my golf bag and keep up with my dad’s pace. grrrrr. Anyway, I can hit further distances now. Just realized that dragonboat training helps golfing a lot. It makes me more flexible to be able to swing the golf club faster and with more strength. But my aiming totally sucks. hahas, its like way way off, if not for my dad helping me with my alignment.

Hopefully it rains tmr. Then I won’t have to play golf with my dad. hees... So much for my new year resolution to practice hard for golf. Anyways, I just golfed todae. So tmr I (or rather my arms) deserve a break!! =)

That’s all for today. SLEEP time!! Yay!
