Went to 上海老街! Quite a walk frm 老西门站.

Lotsa shops selling stone-carved stamps, paintings, crystals, etc...




But most impt, got yummy food!! @ the 美食街 there.....

臭豆腐!

The famous 小笼包! Comes in box of 16 小笼包 for 12 RMB.

Went to the nearby 老城隍庙.

拜拜 using the 全家福香(total of 5 bunches of joss-sticks in different colours)

Throwing the big bunch of joss-sticks into this big urn.

祈福堂 (lotsa pple write their names on those red 福牌 and hang them up)

Nice stone bridge near the 老城隍庙.

Took bus 66 to 南京东路站 and then took train to 南京西路站 for some shopping. There's this shopping center that can bargain until quite cheap. Bought my belt for 15 RMB! =) Wanna buy some t-shirts nxt time!

Saw this scene while walking....like in those old chinese movies...master chef giving instructions, while other chefs stand in a row listening...

Went back to the nearby 吴江路美食街 for dinner. Yummy food for quite good price. Ate at a restaurant, 64RMB for 5 of us.

Then went to 陆家嘴站 to see the 东方明珠(oriental pearl tower). Cost 400RMB to go up that tower, including a buffet at the rotating restaurant on top. Maybe when we get our first pay ba.

Finally found the lotus supermarket @ 正大广场 near 陆家嘴站. One of the cheapest supermarket in Shanghai. Bought super loads of stuff! 2 cartons of 王老吉!! (the nice herbal tea) 3 bottles of orange juice. 1 carton of beer. Rice!! Preserved vege. Instant noodles. Iron. Ironing board. etc etc....

But damn difficult to get a cab. Ended up taking train and going back in a "cui" state again!!!


Work starting tmr!!! Arggghhhhh.....
